Start here if you created the workspace. You will connect one useful app, prove the setup yourself, and then invite other people. Free and Pro keep administration inside Settings. Enterprise adds organization-wide pages for People, Discover, Guardrails, Audit, and Settings.

1. Connect an app

Open Apps, then Browse apps.
  • Pick an app you already use.
  • Choose Connect.
  • Complete your own provider sign-in, or finish any company setup Passport asks for.
Verified catalog apps are self-service on Free and Pro. Enterprise can keep that flow open, require review, or apply catalog rules by app, category, publisher, and team.

2. Add your AI client

Open Clients, choose Add client, and follow the instructions Passport shows. The normal path uses the AI client’s own remote MCP support and browser sign-in; no Passport desktop app is required. Ask the client to list its Passport tools, then return to Clients and choose Run setup check. Passport opens Activity when the safe check succeeds. Do this before inviting the team. It proves the full connection and gives you a known-good example.

3. Invite people

  • Free and Pro: open Settings → Workspace essentials → Manage workspace.
  • Enterprise: open People.
Add people individually or in a batch. Invites are tied to the intended email address and expire after 14 days. On Enterprise, assign roles and teams as part of the rollout. See People and teams for roles, deactivation, teams, and agent identities.

4. Choose the right level of control

You can start simple:
  • Personal Safety preferences are available on every plan.
  • Built-in secret detection protects every plan.
  • Enterprise adds company-wide app rollout, approvals, client policy, Discover, Runtime Security, custom guardrails, and audit export.
Start with the default behavior, watch real usage in Activity or Audit, and add controls when there is a clear need.
Everyone can see their own Activity. Enterprise admins can review and export company-wide Activity from Audit, and can review privileged admin changes under Settings → Admin activity.
